Tester guide

Try Voxra on a test business

Nine made-up businesses with real Voxra numbers. Pick one, ring it or WhatsApp it, and tell us what happened.

The businesses are fictional, but the numbers really reach Voxra. Tips before you start · Test scripts

Before you start

  • How a call goes

On Pro, the business’s mobile rings first. If nobody picks up, Voxra answers in the business’s name, says it’s an AI assistant and that the call is recorded, then handles the call.

  • WhatsApp

A business can be reached on WhatsApp once its WhatsApp Business account is set up on its mobile number. Until then, test WhatsApp on the numbers the organiser tells you are ready. Calls work now.

  • Use made-up details

Give a made-up name and address (the postcode areas on each card are real, the streets aren’t). Your own phone number is fine: that’s how the call-back and WhatsApp summaries get tested.

  • Recordings

Calls answered by Voxra are recorded and deleted after 10 days.

  • Check the answer against the facts

Prices, hours and FAQs are on each card and on the business’s website. Voxra should never invent a price or promise something the business doesn’t do. If it does, tell us.

What a call looks like

The owner misses the call, Voxra answers, and the summary lands on their phone. Your test calls should go the same way.

  1. Plumber: the phone rings while you work1. The phone goes

You“You’re under a sink. Your phone’s ringing. Again.”

  2. The caller, answered by Voxra2. Voxra answers

Voxra“Dave’s Plumbing, I’m his assistant. I’ll put you straight through to him.”

  3. The owner reads Voxra's summary3. You get the summary

    Voxra · WhatsApp

    Urgent: burst pipe

14 Oak Road · water on the floor

Put through to you at 07:52

Ten things to try with each business

Each script is written for that business’s services and hours. You don’t need to read it word for word: sound like a normal customer. The “expected” line is what a good receptionist would do. Anything else is worth telling us about.

Bluewell Plumbing & HeatingPlumbers & heating engineers, Bristol
Call 0117 405 7633
  1. 1Booking

    You say

You want your gas boiler serviced. Ask for next Thursday morning. Give a BS5 address.

    Expected Voxra behaviour

Asks for name, address and boiler make, quotes £95, offers a slot in the Google Calendar within weekday hours and confirms it. You get a WhatsApp or text confirmation if you ask.

  2. 2Price question

    You say

Ask how much a new combi boiler costs, then how much the call-out fee is.

    Expected Voxra behaviour

Says from £2,450 with a free survey and fixed written quote, and £85 call-out on weekdays (£140 evenings and weekends). No invented figures.

  3. 3Urgent job

    You say

Say water is pouring through your kitchen ceiling from the bathroom above.

    Expected Voxra behaviour

Treats it as urgent, tells you to turn off the stopcock, takes your name and address, and puts you through to Dave (or says he is being told now). Owner gets an alert.

  4. 4Leave a message (voicemail)

    You say

Say you just want to leave a message for Dave to ring you back about a quote for moving a radiator.

  6. 6Reschedule or cancel

    You say

Say you booked a boiler service for Thursday and need to move it to the following week.

    You say

  8. 8Abuse or a wrong number

    You say

Either (a) be rude and abusive for 30 seconds without saying what you want, or (b) call as if it were a wrong number: "Is that the pizza place? I want a large pepperoni for delivery".

  9. 9Ask for the owner

    You say

Ask to speak to Dave directly about a job he did last week.

    Expected Voxra behaviour
